Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this site — and we mean it. Here's where we are, where we're going, and how to flag anything that's not working for you.
Our commitment
Peak Play Co. is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to substantially conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which is the technical standard most commonly used to measure website accessibility and is the standard recommended by the U.S. Department of Justice for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
What we've done
- Keyboard navigation throughout the site, including a "Skip to main content" link on every page.
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements.
- Descriptive alternative text for product images and meaningful icons.
- Color contrast meeting WCAG AA on body text, buttons, and form controls.
- Semantic HTML headings, landmarks, and form labels for screen reader users.
- Modal dialogs that trap focus while open and return focus to the originating button when closed.
- Status changes (availability, cart updates, errors) announced via ARIA live regions.
- Respect for the user's prefers-reduced-motion system setting.
Known limitations
We are continuously improving. Some areas we are aware of and actively working on:
- Third-party embeds (such as the Stripe Checkout window) are largely outside our control. Stripe maintains its own accessibility practices for the payment interface.
- Some game photos were taken on phones and may have limited descriptive context beyond the product name. We are gradually adding richer descriptions.
Assistive technology compatibility
The site is designed to work with current versions of major screen readers (VoiceOver on macOS/iOS, NVDA on Windows, TalkBack on Android), and with browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality. We test against the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
Report an accessibility issue
If you encounter any barrier on this site — anything that prevents you from booking, viewing a game, or otherwise using Peak Play Co. — please let us know. We treat accessibility feedback as a priority and will do our best to respond within 5 business days.
Email: peakplaycolorado@gmail.com
When you reach out, it helps if you can include: the page or feature you were trying to use, your device and browser (and screen reader, if applicable), and a brief description of what didn't work as expected.
Alternative ways to book
If the website is not working for you, you can also book by emailing us directly at peakplaycolorado@gmail.com. We'll happily process your booking by hand, confirm pickup details, and answer any questions over email.
Standards we follow
We use the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 Level AA as our benchmark. We perform a combination of automated scans and manual keyboard / screen reader testing before significant releases.
